This is what we are starting with. Luckily not much rot, some plywood seam separation & large sections of missing fiberglass. There are different types of repairs. We are set up with enough marine plywood to re-cover but that is not necessary. Half of the lower hull has been stripped of fiberglass, we’ll: fair recover with 2 layers of 6oz fiberglass mat saturate with epoxy resin peel-ply Final fairing Paint The other half will get seams patched with epoxy “glue” then covered

XV. Roll, Roll, Roll Your Boat
We start by flipping the boat to improve access. A quick inspection reveals some minor rot, a couple of dings to patch and a lot of missing fiberglass. Building a double gantry to Lift boat onto trailer for less stress on us. Checked a number of DIY implementations - basic design was single gantry, big feet & centered chain fall on oversized beam. I was looking for a design with four lift points rather than one. Finally, made my own design. Key points were retractable casters

XIV. Outboard
Conducted initial assessment of Evinrude Lark. The good news is that there is compression (only 30-50 lbs) - the bad news probably going to need work on ignition & carburetor. Status unknown for fuel pump, starter & transmission. XII. Custom Floor
Here’s a step by step procedure to construct removable flooring panels 1) fabricate and install framing “sisters” to both support the flooring & add structure to existing frames, AKA thwarts. 2) fabricate and install fixed centerline board, AKA stringer, painted trim blue (changed to varnished mahogany) flush with flooring. 3) for each panel.
