This is what we are starting with. Luckily not much rot, some plywood seam separation & large sections of missing fiberglass.

There are different types of repairs. We are set up with enough marine plywood to re-cover but that is not necessary.

Half of the lower hull has been stripped of fiberglass, we’ll:

  • fair

  • recover with 2 layers of 6oz fiberglass mat

  • saturate with epoxy resin

  • peel-ply

  • Final fairing

  • Paint

The other half will get seams patched with epoxy “glue” then covered with a single layer of fiberglass set as above.
