IX. Interior Re-Finishing

Lot of spongy but recoverable wood.

First step will be limpit holes through the frames. When we washed boat the water backed up rather than draining out. Good news! These are integral to the design and just clogged with debris.

Then strip off any remaining varnish & vacuum.

Next step will be use a bleach & water solution to kill off any mold & mildew. Done - now allowing a week to dry out.

Then apply penetrating epoxy to restore some structure to the wood. Hopefully this will arrest the beginnings of plywood delamination.

Painting - gray or black
