I. What Kind of Boat?

Well I’ve done two partial, antique, inboard, wooden boat restorations (why partials are two stories for another day).
These boats were both around 22’ LOA. In addition they were forlorn, boats that nobody wanted, until I spruced them up (no pun intended).
My intention was to get back to (at least) the local Wooden Boat Show in Georgetown, SC. This would require a vintage boat that would garner attention by being unique.
So, in short, this is the wish list for my next project:
1) economically viable
2) different propulsion & construction from previous projects (always eager to learn something new)
3) smallish
4) vintage wood power
5) able to stimulate interest at boat shows.
6) feasible scope for primarily DIY work
7) trailer
This is what I found at DIY Wood Boat
Unfortunately, it’s 1,000 miles away…..
